    By the way when the NHL outlawed helmets they ‘grandfathered’ them so that new players were required to wear them but older players did not have to. I wonder what would happen if they grandfathered unpaid interns “Oh sorry Sally, Suzy is new here so we have to pay her, but don’t worry we’re going to keep on not paying you like we agreed from the start.”

  2. I suspect the unpaid internship scam is worse in the states. I’ve never met anyone in Canada who’s done an unpaid internship other than at a non-profit.
